Guardian G2

I was asked by the Guardian to illustrate the cover of G2, and an inner illustration. The article, about parental burnout in the pandemic, is a troubling read. My heart goes out to parents who’ve been facing monumental challenges during the pandemic.

It was a small instance of art imitating life to produce these illustrations! I stayed up really late thinking of ideas (this was a 24 hour turnaround job), I juggled my seven month old baby on my knee during the sketching stage, and my partner took over the parenting whilst I finished the final illustrations. I only missed the deadline by two hours!
