Portrait of Dylan Thomas
I had been listening to Thomas’s own readings of his poetry, which can be found on Spotify. Then I noticed it was nearly his birthday, so I drew his portrait. It’s becoming increasingly essential to me to make work that feels true to my first idea, fresh out of my head, without too much digital refinement. That, to me, is where the living work lies. This loose style and instinctive choices of colour also happens to chime well with Dylan Thomas’s life.
